<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant electrically insulating composition having high flame retardance and good mechanical properties and provide an electric wire/cable produced by using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The flame-retardant electrically insulating composition is produced by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a polyolefin with 50-200 pts.wt. of a metal hydroxide, 5-20 pts.wt. of a modified polyolefin copolymerized with a compound having vinyl group and 1-40 pts.wt. of a melamine compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
