PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment which can cut power consumption beyond a conventional level while inhibiting the reduction of information display capability. SOLUTION: In a composite machine (X) concerned with this invention, a main panel A for displaying various kinds of information pieces; a subpanel B with less power consumption than the main panel A; and a panel controller C for performing the control of power supplies and partial function stoppage of the panels A and B. The panel controller C sets the operation in either of a normal mode for enabling all the functions to be used, a sleep mode for suspending a part of the function or a shutdown mode for cutting off a power supply according to the use state of equipment, with regard to the operation modes of the panels A and B.
