PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact container that permits the smooth separation of a mirror without scattering a cosmetic or the like, facilitates the separate collection after the mirror is removed, and probably does not injure a user when the user is separating the mirror. SOLUTION: The compact container 1 is made up of a container body 2 storing a content such as a cosmetic and a lid body 3 openably connected to a hinge portion 41 made by putting a turning shaft 6 through a space with the container body 2. A pocket 3a to hold the mirror 5 inserted through a slit 3b opened in the vicinity of the hinge portion 41 is formed in the lid 3. Furthermore, the container has a pressing member 4 pivoted by the turning shaft 6 and turnable to the position where it closes the slit 3b of the lid body 3 and the position where it opens the slit.
