<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell having proper photo-receiving efficiency at a low cost, and to provide a manufacturing method for the solar cell. <P>SOLUTION: Projecting regions 101a having upper surfaces higher than light-receiving surfaces by 200 nm or higher are formed by forming light-receiving regions 130 (recessed regions), using the bottoms as the light-receiving surfaces by etching a part of a silicon substrate 101. Light-receiving surface electrodes 110, having a width (A) smaller than that (B) of the projection regions 101a, are formed on the projection regions 101a.
