PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exposure light source wherein the light use efficiency of an organic EL element is improved without complicating a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: In an organic EL element 20, a transparent anode 21, an organic compound layer 22 containing a luminous layer, and a metallic cathode 23 are formed in order on a transparent substrate 10 by lamination. The film thickness of the transparent anode 21 is so optimized that the most suitable interference state is obtained with respect to a multilayered film constitution of color R having the lowest sensitivity to photosensitive materials. Concretely, the light emission efficiency in a front direction is maximized when an effective optical path length of reciprocation in the transparent node 21 and the organic compound layer 22 is an integer-number multiple of a peak wavelength of an emission spectrum of color R.
