The display (1) for an automobile driver has display elements to show various driving assistance systems. The display indicates the position of the automobile (14), interval space bars (15-15"), the limits of the left (16) and right lanes (16'), indicators for a left (17) and right (17') lane change, a curve warning (18) and a speed limit indicator (19). The data for the indicator displays are taken from a street map (10), a radar (11), a camera (12) and a reversing sensor (13). All the indicators are combined in a single head-up display.
