PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sealing member from being deformed or dropping by suppressing a pressure rise in a space sealed by the sealing member while holding a sealing function, such as the prevention of the invasion of water from an exterior in the sealing structure of the fuel injection valve of a cylinder direct injection internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: In the sealing structure of the fuel injection valve, a protrusion (20) which projects outward from the upper surface of the sealing member (17) is provided at the sealing member (17) mounted at the upper part of the fuel injection valve (12) disposed in the through hole (7) of a cylinder head (1). The respiratory hole (19) communicating with the exterior via the through hole of the cylinder head is formed at this protrusion. The outside opening (19a) of the respiratory hole is directed in the lateral direction or down from the lateral direction at a position away from the upper surface of the sealing member.
