<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink for inkjet printers which exhibits a good ink jetting stability from nozzles and a good fixation of formed images. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink contains a colorant, a resin and water. The colorant is a water-insoluble colorant having an improved dispersibility by an anionic dispersing agent having a number-average molecular weight of ≤10,000.
