PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system which has a lens frame of simplified structure and little eccentricity between individual lenses and is therefore easily adjusted and enables the lenses to be easily molded into desired shapes even when employing many lenses, has optically sufficient performance and is excellent in heat resistance and environmental resistance. SOLUTION: The optical system has a cemented lens formed by integrating at least three optical members L1' to L3'. The at lest one optical member L2' constituting the cemented lens is formed of an organic/inorganic compound material having at least one kind of inorganic component, selected from among metal alkoxide and its hydrolysate, which is represented by R<SP>1</SP><SB>a</SB>R<SP>2</SP><SB>b</SB>M(OR<SP>3</SP>)c, where R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are the same or different organic groups, R<SP>3</SP>an alkyl group or aryl group with C1 to 6, M at least one kind of metal element, (a) and (b) 0 to 2, and (c) a positive integer calculated from the valency of the metal element M-(a+b).
