PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship ballast water treatment apparatus which can remove and kill microorganisms contained in ballast water efficiently in a short time with a small calory, and sufficiently contribute to environmental preservation when the ballast water is filled into and discharged out of a harbor. SOLUTION: The ship ballast water treatment apparatus has a filter device 4 for filtering the ballast water A in a water filling passage 5 of a ballast tank 2, and has a heating back-washing device 6 for heating and back-washing a filter 41 of the filter device 4 with hot water B.
