PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method for a measuring equipment to execute easily and efficiently an inquired diagnostic function. SOLUTION: A kind of sequence control is performed to execute the diagnostic function, a usual measuring operation for the measuring equipment is interrupted, and the first diagnostic function is executed during the interruption of the usual measuring operation. The usual measuring operation is started again after the the first diagnostic function is executed, the usual measuring operation for the measuring equipment is interrupted again, and the second diagnostic function is executed during the interruption of the usual measuring operation.
