<p>In a method and system for providing "caller's image information" ("CII") in a client oriented manner through a communication line, a received CII from a caller's terminal(CLRT) is previously stored in a memory in the system. When a calling request signal from the CLRT is received, previously stored text information including a phone number of the caller is offered to a callee's terminal(CLET). If a CII request signal from the CLET is received during call setup, the previously stored CII is retrieved and then sent to the CLET. The CLET receives and displays the CII on a display screen thereof. Thereafter, the CLET stores the CII in a memory thereof. The method of the present invention enables a callee to easily identify a caller with the CII.</p> |
