POSITIVE ELECTRODE FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY, AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery having a mixture of high density, and a lithium secondary battery including the electrode.

SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery 1 is composed of a positive electrode 3 including a positive electrode active substance and a plate like conductive material; a negative electrode 2 including a negative electrode active substance capable of intercalating and de-intercalating lithium ions; an electrolytic solution; a separator 4 positioned between the electrodes 3, 2; a cylindrical battery vessel 5; and a sealing member 6 sealing the vessel 5. The positive electrode active substance is a nickel series positive electrode substance or a manganese series positive electrode active substance.
