摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make one laser range finding part sufficient for requirement for range finding, to dispense with an absolute fixed part in a period from the first range finding operation to the second range finding operation by measuring preliminarily an angle formed by two point directions of a measuring object in the first range finding operation, to simplify constitution, and to reduce a size and a cost, in a laser range finder. SOLUTION: An A-point and a B-point of the measuring object are set to be irradiated with a laser beam 11 for the range finding and a pointer beam 15 for irradiating a reference position, so as to irradiated in the two directions, a distance to the A-point is measured therein, and the angle formed by the two irradiation directions is detected therein. Then, the B-point of the measuring object is set to be irradiated with the laser beam 11 to be irradiated along a B-direction, and a distance to the B-point is measured therein. A distance between the two points is calculated using the distances up to the two points. The small-sized and inexpensive range finder easy to recognize the irradiation direction serving as a reference is realized by a simple mechanism, by this manner. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
