PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide xylylenediamine excellent in storage stability, without causing quality deterioration, such as discoloration, even when stored for a long period, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This solid xylylenediamine received in a container is produced by filling the container with liquid xylylenediamine having a color of≤20 as APHA, and then solidifying the xylylenediamine in the container, wherein the xylylenediamine has a color of≤20 as APHA which is measured in a liquid state by being molten, after it is stored in a solid state.
