PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a synthetic peptide having a new amino acid sequence having antagonistic action on hIL-4 as well as hIL-13 and provide a pharmaceutical composition containing the synthetic peptide and useful for the treatment of allergic diseases. SOLUTION: The invention relates to a peptide having a new amino acid sequence, an antagonist of human interleukin-4 and human interleukin-13 containing the peptide, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the peptide and useful for the treatment of allergic diseases.
