A coefficient string of a spread sequence is successively shifted by one pitch and the transmission data is multiplied by these plurality of coefficient strings so as to form a plurality of transmission data. The plurality of transmission data formed are added to form a transmission data string. Alternatively, a coefficient string of the spread sequence is multiplied by transmission data and successively shifted by one pitch so as to form a plurality of transmission data. The plurality of transmission data formed are added to form a transmission data string. Moreover, the transmission data is multiplied by a coefficient string of the spread sequence so as to form a finite length signal. This finite length signal is repeated infinite times to form an infinite length signal. From this infinite length signal, transmission data longer than the coefficient string is cut out to form a transmission data string. Thus, by building the transmission data into the spread sequence, it is possible to reduce spread of the signal amplitude in the transmission data modulation by the spectrum spread and reduce the dynamic range of the reception side. |
