<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical filter from which its filter medium can be easily and simply withdrawn to exactly check its remaining service life. <P>SOLUTION: The chemical filter is one which removes polluting gases, wherein at least two casings filled with a filter medium are connected to each other through a connecting means having gas sealability.
