摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of superior productivity of a crosslinked polymer optical fiber, having long-term heat resistance and humidity and thermal stability. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of a polymer optical fiber, by enclosing the surroundings of core fiber of the transparent crosslinked polymer by a sheath containing transparent fluorocarbon resin, there are included a process for manufacturing thermoplastic polymer by performing radical copolymerization of alkyl (meta) acrylate monomer and alkenyl (meta) acrylate monomer, a process for forming the core fiber by performing hot melt spinning of the polymer, a process for crosslinking the polymer by performing electron irradiation to the core fiber and a process for performing thermal processing of the core fiber, to which the electron irradiation is performed at temperature within a range of 100°C to 150°C.
