PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage container for precise substrates in which a section requiring high function of the storage container is integrally mounted on the storage container without using any complicated locking mechanism or die structure as a separate mounting member formed of different materials, or without damaging the mounting member, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the storage container, a mounting member on the storage container 1 for precise substrates comprising a container body 2 and a lid body 3 is integrally mounted on and fixed to the storage container by staking projecting tip portions of a plurality of projections 12 provided on the mounting member 4 or the storage container 1 which are fitted in a plurality of through holes formed in the storage container 1 or the mounting member 4.
