PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain water scatter preventer capable of preventing drain water from being scattered and shortening the working time by reducing the drain water velocity energy even when a valve is largely opened. SOLUTION: The drain scatter preventer 1 comprises a pipe 2 with a drain pipe 11 of an air tank 10 connected thereto, a perforated container 3 connected to a lower tip of the pipe 2, a case 4 to store the perforated container 3, an air pressure shock-absorbing plate 5 mounted movably in the vertical direction in a stored condition in the case 4 above the perforated container 3, a lid part 6 mounted on an upper end of the case 4 in a vertically opening/closing manner, and a leg part 7 to hold the case 4 in an inverted condition.
