METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING EMULSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an extremely fine uniform microsphere, and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: A substrate 3 is provided with a continuous phase supply port 31 formed at a position overlapped with a continuous phase supply hole 8, a dispersing phase supply part 32 formed at a position overlapped with a dispersing phase supply hole 9 and an emulsion takeout port 33 formed at a position overlapped with an emulsion takeout hole 10. A continuous phase flow channel 34 with a width of about 100μm and a depth of about 5μm is formed from the continuous phase supply port 31 so as to go toward a downstream side while a dispersing phase flow channel 35 with a width of about 100μm and a depth of about 5μm is formed from the dispersing phase supply port 32 so as to go toward a downstream side. A pool 36 with longitudinal and lateral widths of about 1,000μm and a depth of about 5μm is formed on the just downstream side of the confluent point of the continuous phase flow channel 34 and the dispersing phase supply part 32 and connected to the emulsion takeout port 33 through a flow channel 37.
