<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system having excellent mountability and purification performance capable of avoiding occurrence of erosion of a carrier by misfire. <P>SOLUTION: The emission control system comprises an outer cylinder 10, a honeycomb carrier 20 disposed in the outer cylinder 10, a multi-tube carrier 30 consisting of three cylindrical bodies 31, joined with and held by one end face of the honeycomb carrier 20 and disposed in the outer cylinder 10, and a catalyst layer 40 carried by surfaces of the honeycomb carrier 20 and the multi-tube carrier 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
