<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly and easily perform attachment, detachment and replacement of light-emitting diodes to a light guide plate, by improving the surface light source device in a system for irradiating the light guide plate 1 by light fluxes emitted from the light-emitting diodes 3. <P>SOLUTION: An H-shaped socket 4, having H-shaped cross-sectional shape to fit to an edge of the light guide plate 1, is constituted. Many holding holes 5 are provided in a row, in a web 4b of the H-shaped socket, and the light-emitting diodes 3 are inserted and fixed in them. If the many light-emitting diodes 3 are preliminarily attached to the H-shaped socket 4, the many light-emitting diodes are attached to the light guide plate 1 at once, and by arranging them at exact positions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
