<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emission element capable of correctly expressing a desired gradation by uniformly controlling electron emission of an emitter for every pixel, of enhancing the color purity of a screen, and of equalizing a brightness characteristic among the pixels. <P>SOLUTION: This application is related to a field emission display device for uniformly controlling the electron emission of the emitter in every pixel, and provides this field emission display device including: first and second substrates 2 and 4 arranged by facing each other with an arbitrary distance; at least one gate electrode and at least one cathode electrode disposed on the first substrate while interposing an insulating layer; an electron emission source electrically connected to the at least one cathode electrode; a resistance layer disposed between the cathode electrode and the electron emission source on the same plane as the cathode electrode; at least one anode electrode formed on the second substrate; and a phosphor screen disposed on a first surface of the at least one anode electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
