<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric appliance control system for controlling a plurality of electric appliances from an external terminal. <P>SOLUTION: This system is equipped with: a main control device 3 connected to a personal computer 2 via a LAN; and illumination units A1-A12 capable of wirelessly communicating with the main control device 3. The main control device 3 includes an input part 4, a communication controller IC 5, a main control part 6, and a wireless communication part 7. The illumination units A1-A12 each include an auxiliary control device 11, a fluorescent tube 12 and a power circuit 13.
