<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform correction so as to make a white stripe generated by cutting of a heating element to be inconspicuous. <P>SOLUTION: A resistance value of each heating element is measured to determine a heating element N in a cutting condition. Application energies YEn, YEn-1, YEn+1, YEn-2, YEn+2 necessary for image data to be printed by the cut heating element N, adjacent heating elements N-1, N+1 and close heating elements N-2, N+2 are calculated. The correction for adding a prescribed ratio of the application energy YEn of the cut heating element N to the application energies YEn-1, YEn+1, YEn-2, YEn+2 is carried out and the image data is corrected from the corrected application energies YEEn-1, YEEn+1, YEEn-2, YEEn+2. As a result, the amounts of heat of each of the adjacent heating elements N-1, N+1 and the close heating elements N-2, N+2 is increased so that the pixel of the cut heating element N is colored and a white stripe X becomes inconspicuous. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
