PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive optical image processing system and method which does not displace the optical axis of the spatial filter. SOLUTION: The optical image processing method radiates the coherent laser beam 1 emitted from a laser light source 20 to the 1st spatial optical modulator 2, modulates the laser beam 1 with the desired image information to input to the 1st spatial optical modulator 2, converges the spatially modulated laser beam 3 in the 1st lens 4, passes part of the Fourier transformed images focused on the focus plane of the 1st lens 4 through the 2nd spatial optical modulator 6, and focuses the passing Fourier transformed image with the 2nd lens 7. The optical image processing method and system turns the image in advance to input to the 1st spatial optical modulator 2, then further turns the image focused by the 2nd lens 7.
