PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water supply system always usable for drinking and cooking in a favorite place at favorite time, while keeping properly temperature-adjusted tasty mineral water in a sufficiently sterilized/bacteria-reduced safe state. SOLUTION: This water supply system is composed of a water receiving tank 6 basically arranged in a lower layer part of a building and having a plurality of water receiving ports, a plurality of kinds of water storage tanks 10 arranged in an upper layer part of the building and having a sterilizing disinfecting device inside, a pumping means 8 with a check valve for connecting mutual both water tanks, a water supply device 14 connected to a water supply pipe 9 from the water storage tank 10 and having a temperature adjusting device arranged in an optional place, and a control mechanism for associating the respective water tanks to the means-device. The water supply system is characterized by having a plurality of cartridge type water receiving tanks as the water receiving tank; constituting the pumping means with the check valve in a plurality of systems for individually connecting mutual both water tanks; and movably connecting the water supply device to the water supply pipe by a flexible pipe.
