PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method of internal defects capable of obtaining correlation between a flaw distribution acquired by an ultrasonic inspection method and that acquired by a radiographic test method. SOLUTION: This evaluation method of internal defects has a flaw detection process for acquiring flaw detection data reflecting a spacial distribution of the internal defects existing inside a specimen by ultrasonic inspection, a two-dimensional flaw information acquisition process for projecting the flaw detection data in one or two or more monitoring regions in the Z-direction, and acquiring two-dimensional flaw information in each monitoring region respectively, a determination data conversion process for converting each two-dimensional flaw information into the same or one kind or two or more kinds of different determination data respectively, and a determination process for setting the same or one or two or more different determination thresholds respectively in each monitoring region, comparing each determination data with one or two or more allowable data allowable to each determination threshold, and determining the quality of the specimen.
