<p>The present invention relates to a buoyant spongilite filter intended for removing pollutants from a liquid such as water wherein the proposed filter includes aggregate layers (4, 5, 9, 10) that are separated from each other by layers (6, 7, 8) of petrified sponge, whereby the individual layers have a defined composition. The invented filter is manufactured by laying individual layers onto an insulation sheet (1) and a geotextile (2), the layers are the leveled to a defined upper surface that is substantially horizontal to obtain layers of a required thickness. Water being supplied from the bottom through pipes (3) ascends as a controlled to the level (11).</p> |
