The invention relates to an expansion bolt (10) for anchoring in a cylindrical borehole (40). According to the invention, the expansion bolt (10) is configured with a tubular bolt base part (12) to which a hollow conical expansion section (22) is moulded by forming. An expansion sleeve (14) that is bent from a sheet is placed on said expansion section. The expansion bolt (10) is anchored in the borehole (40) by the axial displacement of the expansion sleeve (14) on the expansion section (22). The expansion bolt (10) expands further if the borehole (40) expands, for example as a result of cracking. |
