<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized magneto-optic optical component having a simple construction, the component in which light emission ports are switched. <P>SOLUTION: In the magneto-optic optical component, a birefringence plate 11, a Faraday rotator 21, a birefringence plate 12, a Faraday rotator 22 and a birefringence plate 13 are disposed in this order. Magnetic field applying mechanisms 61 and 62 apply magnetic fields so that magnetic domains B and A are formed on a +Y side and on a -Y side of the Faraday rotators 21 and 22, respectively in a first state, and magnetic domains A and B are formed on +Y side and on a -Y side, respectively in a second state.
