The valve for control of gas supply to vehicle fuel cells or a gas engine has an electromagnetic operating unit (14) which cooperates with the internal pole (16) of a magnetic anchor (18) to close the valve. The anchor is loaded towards the closed position by a spring system (17) with a progressive characteristic.
