<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hexagonal boron nitride compact capable of obtaining a hexagonal boron nitride sintered body hardly causing breaking or crack in bent parts and its manufacturing method, and to provide the hexagonal boron nitride sintered body obtained by sintering the hexagonal boron nitride compact. <P>SOLUTION: In the compact having the bent part comprising the hexagonal boron nitride powder or mixed powder containing the powder, a part or whole of the hexagonal boron nitride particle existing in the bent parts is controlled so that the bending direction of the bent part is made equal to the C-axial direction of boron nitride crystal. The hexagonal boron nitride sintered body obtained by applying a heat treatment to the compact is provided.
