<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus cabinet that can assure sufficient strength even if it is thinned, and to provide an electronic apparatus using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The cabinet of an electronic apparatus 1 uses a basic material member, which is mainly composed of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The basic material member is composed of a plurality of layers, and a number of carbon fibers contained in the outermost layer are continuous long fibers oriented to one direction. The carbon fibers are oriented to a direction that is oblique with respect to an outer edge of the basic material member, and more specifically, they are oriented parallel to the diagonal direction of the basic material member. On the surface of the outermost layer, a self-healing resin layer is formed, which has a function of automatically recovering scratches and making them disappear by a high elastic restoring force as the time elapses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
