MOLDED HEATING ELEMENT

A heating element which is compression molded and contains a metal powder and a metal oxide powder. This molded heating element is characterized by having a porosity of from 35% by volume to 60% by volume (inclusive) and a crushing strength of 100 kg/cm2 or more. Consequently, this molded heating element is free from the occurrence of expansion and cracks even if being at high temperatures due to combustion.
