PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather device capable of preventing oil from reversely flowing from an oil reservoir part at once. SOLUTION: The breather device 1 is provided with an oil separator 4 and an oil retention tank 6 provided above the same. The oil separator 4 includes cyclone separator 41, 41 and connected to an upper wall of the oil retention tank 6. A float 20 detecting level of oil L is stored inside of the oil retention tank 6. When the level of oil L goes up and down, a connecting bar 40 connected to the float 20 goes up and down to turn a switching valve V provided in a brunch part 60 of a suction pipe P10 of blow-by gas.
