ENGINE AUTOMATIC START AND STOP CONTROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine automatic start and stop controller for improving restarting property of an engine. SOLUTION: This engine automatic start and stop controller is provided with an engine stop determining means for determining whether the engine E must be stopped or not and an engine stop means for stopping a crank shaft 10 provided in the engine E at a rotation position equivalent to a compression stroke when the engine stop determining means determines that the engine E must be stopped. A bypass passage 8 for bypassing a throttle valve 4 is provided in a suction passage 2 of the engine E. An air control valve 9 for controlling flow rate of air passing through the bypass passage 8 is provided in the bypass passage 8. An air control valve driving means for opening the air control valve 9 when the engine stop means stops the crank shaft 10 at the rotation position equivalent to the compression stroke is provided.
