<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant crash protection device for relieving a shock by a shock absorbing means, by expanding a both-knee interval of an occupant by a posture forcing means, when a posture of both legs changes, and even when an occupant posture is not originally proper, when a vehicle collides. <P>SOLUTION: This occupant crash protection device 1 is arranged under a dashboard 107 in a vehicle room, and is substantially arranged in front of knees of a seating occupant D. This occupant crash protection device has a central part B for correcting a posture in the direction for expanding the both-knee interval of the occupant by projecting to the occupant side when the vehicle collides, and left and right parts A and C for relieving the shock inputted to both knees of the occupant whose posture is corrected by the central part. When an offset collision is caused, the occupant posture has the possibility of becoming a leg closing posture, and the occupant crash protection device can put the occupant in a suitable posture since the central part expands the both-knee interval.
