METHOD FOR PRODUCING RESIN TABLET OF MOLDING COMPOUND FOR WAVE LENGTH CONVERSION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING WHITE LIGHT EMITTING DIODE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a resin tablet of a molding compound for wave length conversion, in which a phosphor powder is homogeneously dispersed in a light-permeable liquid resin, and to provide a method for producing a white light emitting diode having excellent light conversion efficiency.

SOLUTION: In a process of forming a resin molded article of a molding compound using a light-permeable liquid resin, a phosphor powder is subjected to a wet dispersion treatment to produce a resin of the molding compound in which the phosphor powder is dispersed, then the resin is crushed into powder, and the powder is compressed under predetermined pressure to produce the tablet of the molding compound for wave length conversion. The white light emitting diode is produced with the use of the resin tablet of the molding compound after a transfer molding process.
