<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set and a program used therefor in which power consumption can be reduced by making transition to a power saving state possible even during number and character inputs, and editing procedures are made possible in the same state as before leaving by temporarily storing a picture under inputting. <P>SOLUTION: A leave timer is set in the timing of inputting numbers and characters, and the leave timer is reset in the timing of modifying or adding the numbers and characters. When the leave timer times out, it is determines that a user has left the portable telephone set behind him, and the state of a last key operation is temporarily stored, thereby making possible the transition to the power saving state wherein power consumption is reduced in the stored state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
