<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a running speed pattern from classified running data which is obtained by accurately classifying running data in short sections. <P>SOLUTION: In classifying patterns of changes in the running-speed in each certain small section, the running data is weighted beforehand so that change in the running-speed in a section where running conditions are variable every time as it is at intersections is made larger than the change in the running-speed in a section where the running condition is comparatively stable every time. By using the data on running in sections belonging to each classification, a running-speed pattern is created, which is typical in each short section, and a running-speed pattern, which is typical in every short section constituting a frequented course, is prepared. When the vehicle is started by a driver, the previously created running-speed pattern is connected to every adjacent short section to create an estimated running-speed pattern of the whole frequented course. By using the created estimated running-speed pattern, an operation schedule for an engine and a motor is created so as to minimize fuel-consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
