A bag (10) including a front wall (11) and a rear wall (12) defining an enclosure (15) wherein at least one of the front and rear walls includes one or two lines of perforations (20, 23); an access opening (16) sealable by a flap (17) with an adhesive strip (18) and peelable tape (19); and a strip of resilient plastic material (21) secured to the front or rear wall by an adhesive line (22) and the strip overlying the line of perforations. The closed bag is accessed by a user gripping and pulling the plastic strip (21) which breaks the line of perforations. Also described is a bag with an upper first enclosure (31) and a lower second enclosure (32) with the first enclosure having a line of perforations (45) and strip (47), and the second enclosure having a line of perforations (53) included in the front (36) and rear (35) walls.
