<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device of a hybrid vehicle capable of eliminating the need of MG of large torque while reducing the size of the entire part of the device. <P>SOLUTION: This drive device of the hybrid vehicle comprises an engine 11, a motor generator 16, and a toroidal transmission 12 having an input disk 12a and an output disk 12b shifting a drive force inputted from at least the engine 11 or the motor generator 16 and transmitting it to drive wheels and arranged on a same axis. The motor generator 16 comprises a first engaging means 31 engaging/disengaging the transmission of the drive force with and from the input disk and a third engaging means 33 engaging/disengaging the transmission of the drive force with and from the drive wheels.
