<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device allowing an operator to intentionally regulate a movement amount of a pointer without requiring any previously designated area for dealing with different input environments properly by means of a single device. <P>SOLUTION: This input device is provided with a first detection means detecting a movement amount of the input device on a plane and a second detection means detecting a pressure applied to the input device as the movement amount on the plane.
