PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embossed release paper having high embossing ratio especially in the direction of depth and formed by thermal embossing. SOLUTION: The embossed release paper is produced by forming a heat-meltable resin film on one surface of a paper sheet and embossing the paper having the heat-meltable resin film. The paper has a density of≤0.95 g/cm<SP>3</SP>measured in conformity to JIS P8118 and a water content of≥4.5% measured in conformity to JIS P8127. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
