COVER CONVEYING EQUIPMENT FOR BOOKBINDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cover conveying equipment for a bookbinding machine which sets correctly a position of pasting a book body and a cover together, irrespective of the presence of nonuniformity or unsteadiness of components constituting a clamper driving part or a cover conveyance driving part. SOLUTION: The cover conveying equipment wherein the cover 7 is conveyed to a cover pasting roller 42 by a conveying pawl 31 fixed to a conveying chain 3 and is pasted on the shelfback side of the book body 5 held by a moving clamper 4, is provided with a sprocket 36 for position correction which engages with the conveying chain 3. The position of this sprocket 36 is changed according to a positional discrepancy between the book body 5 and the cover 7 for each clamper 4 by a stepping motor 37 and the position of the conveying pawl 31 is corrected to a position where the cover 7 is set exactly at the cover pasting position of the book body 5.
