PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit board for reliably determining an arrangement direction of characters, and its metal cover. SOLUTION: A crystal oscillator comprises a rectangular circuit board for mounting circuit devices with a metal cover thereon, in which the circuit board has grooves on its long sides and short sides, which are shaped like a squarish U when viewed from the top, and the metal cover has projections at each end of openings corresponding to the grooves, and the projections are provided with evaginations directing from an outer side to an inner side. In this crystal oscillator, the grooves on the long side and their corresponding projections on the metal cover are provided near one end of the long side direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
