PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrostatic latent image developing carrier by which the electric resistance of a carrier coating layer can be suppressed low, an effect to prevent an edge effect and carrier deposition is imparted and deterioration in color characteristics such as turbidity of colors is prevented, and to provide a carrier manufactured by the method. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an electrostatic latent image developing carrier includes a step of coating the surface of a core material comprising a magnetic material with a silicone resin having conductive carbon dispersed therein; and a step of mixing/stirring the carrier having the silicone resin coating layer with a yellow toner and then sucking/removing the yellow toner to remove conductive carbon depositing on the surface of the silicone resin coating layer.
